Our small farm grows crops native to our region of Northern New Mexico that can adapt to the changing climate. 

We work with Native Seeds/Search (nativeseeds.org) to produce the best quality seeds possible. This helps us grow and preserve these essential food crops. We keep some seeds for ourselves, but we also sell them wholesale to other farmers in the area. We do this because we want to ensure that these seeds are available to people now and for future generations. 

Our mission is to protect these old linages and ensure nutritious food crops that will continue to adapt to a quickly changing climate.

At Verdant Future Farm, we take pride in our herd of Kinder goats. Our Kinders are the heart of our farm, and we maintain a healthy, vibrant, and genetically diverse herd. We'd love to introduce you to some of the members of our Kinder goat herd.

About Our Livestock Guardian Dogs

Our farm has a dedicated pack of Livestock Guardian Dogs, a blend of Great Pyrenees, Anatolian Shepherds, and Bernese Mountain Dogs. This mix brings together the best traits of each breed—strength, intelligence, and a gentle disposition.

Our adult breeding pair, Fuerte and Myrl, the heart of the pack, are excellent in their roles as protectors and parents. Their offspring inherit their size, intelligence, and protective instincts, making them perfect guardians for our livestock.

Leading the pack is our three-year-old female, Shílá, with her experience and balanced temperament, who trains the younger dogs and serves as an expert in predator deterrence.

Raised with love and discipline and socialized to bond with the animals they defend, providing a natural and effective security measure for our farm. They offer 24/7 protection, allowing for the coexistence of our livestock with local wildlife.
